Congregational conversation Thursday, 20th at 7:00
On Thursday, Andrew will lead us in an exploration of resilience in the face of trauma.
In July, FOH sponsored Andrew to participate in the Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience (STAR) training. This training is for leaders who deal with trauma to be more personally resilient and be prepared to help those with trauma in their history to heal and move into wholeness.
On Thursday we will do three exercises to help us identify resilience in ourselves and our congregation, and then sit lightly with trauma in our past. This will invite us to further reflection. Andrew and Suella will be available afterward to talk if anyone needs to. We will end with reading celebrating God’s presence with us.
Elders and pastor notes are attached.

Prayer request. Arlie and Sam received the sad news that their nephew died unexpectedly. He was 31 and died in the ER, for reasons they don’t know. He had been biking in the California desert with friends. Arlie and Sam are flying home tomorrow.
